Federico Valverde scored his first goal of this season to equalize Real Madrid in the second half. Federico Valverde hit a powerful shot from the edge of the box which first hit the left post and then converted into the goal.
"The best thing we did was try. They had a lot of chances and the first one they had they scored," Valverde told the club's official media.
"But we always kept trying, the goal right at the start of the second half helped us to keep pushing... Whatever I can do to contribute I'm happy."
In the 60th minute, Joselu gave Real Madrid a 2-1 lead with his brilliant header. Joselu fired a header from Fran Garcia's cross.
"Any team in the laegue can hurt you, we have to correct things because we conceded a goal very early on. But this is at the Bernabeu ( stadium ) and with our fans we were able to turn it around."
Real Madrid makes its Champions League debut on Wednesday when it hosts Union Berlin and then visit Atletico Madrid for their league derby.
